2021 Graduate Accountant (Start ASAP)

The role:

Our practice has grown considerably and we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced graduate looking to take the next step in your career. The role will give you exposure to a wide variety of clients and industries and the opportunity to deal with a diverse range of interesting issues. Baskin Clarke Priest is dedicated to supporting your growth to develop your skills.

Some of the tasks you will be assigned include:

• Preparing income tax returns including individuals, partnerships, companies and trusts
• Analysing and finalising financial statements relating to the clients’ structures
• Researching tax issues for discussion with team members
• Preparing Business Activity Statements and instalment activity statements
• Assisting with WIP management, client correspondence and ensuring that client lodgements and other matters are met in a timely manner

To succeed in this role you will have:

Completed a relevant degree
• 1+ years’ accounting experience in a professional firm
• Organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills
• A friendly demeanour and a team player, offering your assistance and support to the team
